Summer Fun: Pt. 1

My summer has been really great. I have been lucky enough to travel to Germany, England, Canada, and St. Louis. I have seen all of my family members this summer, all of my best friends, and had a steady job working 40+ hours a week. I am just one lucky girl!!

Field Trip

Today I had my first field trip of high school!! Our AP Lit classes saw the musical "Winesburg, Ohio" at UMKC. It was an interesting theatrical performance with catchy songs that got stuck in your head. Afterward, our classes went to The Plaza for lunch. After walking around for a while we (Troy, Brittany, and myself) stumbled upon a little coffee/ sandwich/ gelato place. Which turned out to be great! Troy and Brittany both had sandwiches while I had a chicken pesto wrap. We all drank the hot chocolate which was soooo worth the long walk to this cafe. It was so good! Probably one of my favorite hot chocolates I've ever had. I would suggest Balsano's Gelato for anyone in wish of a quaint and quiet cafe while visiting Kansas City.

Spring Break!

Well, I had a very fun Spring Break visiting my sister, Jamie, in New Jersey and also visiting NYC.
However, I forgot that I had my camera with me most of the trip! So my pictures are minimal.

Sorry for the extremely long hiatus. I have been very busy these past couple of months.

News:

1. I was accepted to BYU!
2. I received my Young Woman Medallion!
3. Its spring break in 3 days! (hooray! NYC!)
4. I graduate in 2 months!

Needless to say, I am very happy and anticipating the rest of 2009 to be amazing!!

Favorite things of Fall

• Smell and sight of falling leaves

• This little boy wearing the color orange and playing with pumpkins

• Wearing boots (these are under the non-existent Christmas tree...I want them on my feet!)

• Halloween - Football game and parties. I am going to be a flapper. :)

• Soup! Mom made the most delicious mushroom and barley soup last night. I LOVED it.
• Wearing the new fedora I bought (I couldn't find a picture, so I will take one and upload it later)
  
• Knowing that in a few weeks the ACT will be over and my apps to BYU will be in!!
