tailored ads

Over thanksgiving break I bought men's deoderant. Now I've been seeing ads like this on my google reader.

I think I might switch back to women's deoderant.

If you're having a pity party...

Don't invite me. Because I'm in a good mood and I don't want to mess it up.

Also, enjoy this video.

Mixed reviews

I know there have been mixed reviews about this movie.
But I thought it was charming. Not hilarious, not make-you-cry, but charming. And maybe (probably) it was because I was just in Paris, but I loved the whole idea of it.
So go see it, and decide for yourself if you like it. It definitely isn't for everyone, but it could be for you!

And since I know you're not going to follow me...

here's a song that I really like. Thanks, Brett.

Also, how could this video not be wonderful?! They're riding scooters!

I'm on Twitter, Yo!

Follow me! I say really funny stuff.

...okay, maybe only I think it's funny. But it would be funnier if people followed me.

This is the face

of a girl who just finished her sophomore year of college. WHADDUP!!
{please disregard the scratches on my glasses that shield my eyeballs from being seen properly, also disregard the bags under my eyes...it's been a long week!}

This year has been probably my hardest academic-wise. But I have learned so much throughout these past few months in Utah. Some of these things include, but are not limited to:
-my love for communications and the pleasure I have found from starting my studies in this field
-sleep is important, and you feel better when you get more of it.
-it is much easier to do things ahead of time than procrastinate until the last minute.
-cooking is fun
-and that it is much harder being completely on your own than when you have family around.

Even though this year has definitely been trying and tiring, I feel like I've grown up. I'm happy to be starting this new, more mature, chapter in my life. I feel like I have a better idea of what I'm doing, where I'm going, and what I want to become.

So, Sophomore year, thanks. It's been fun.

Another Musical Post

I have loved Matt Costa for a long time now. I've seen him in concert twice, and plan on seeing him in concert many more times!
This is probably his most famous song, and it is one you should listen to. and love.

A photo.

Now, I haven't been the best at photo-documenting my sophomore year of college, but there is one picture I needed to snap.

Can you even believe this happened to my lovely dishcloth?!?!

I seriously have no idea what happened. Too much dish-washing?

Long time, no see!

I know, I know. You have all been asking, "When is that inconsistent blogger going to attempt to become consistent again?"
Well, all of your questions and prayers have been answered. Today's the day! I'm trying something new. (we'll see how long this lasts)

I am going to attempt to do a post once a week, sharing something with ya'll that will improve your lives (or your day?)

So my first video that I want to share with you is a song I have been listening to for the past week and that you should listen to as well.

11 Goals for 11

In no particular order:
1. Become better informed. As an assignment for a class this semester I have to read the New York Times every day. I hope that by doing this, I can establish a habit of thinking about the world around me.
2. Don't get below a b- in any classes. I've done it before, I can do it again!
3. Be more sincere, thoughtful, and considerate. To everyone. Even if I don't like them.
4. Remeber the Lord!
5. Slow to anger.
6. Try not to gossip. It's hard. But trying makes a difference.
7. Figure out what I want to do with my life. Or at least the near future.
8. Eat halthier. And get an iPod to auto correct "healthier" when I need it to.
9. Enjoy my time more. I'm always in a hurry. Slowin' it down a couple speeds might help my stress levels.
10. Make an effort to befriend those who need a friend.
11. Be sensible. Don't make TOO many rash decisions.

Let's just hope I make it past 11 days with these goals!
